Description
Phoenix Valkyrie Obsidian Flame 1 Oz Silver Medal 2026
A Valkyrie reborn from fire
According to ancient Norse legends, after every battle Valkyries appeared over the blood-soaked field to choose the bravest and lead them to the hall of the gods. But one of them met a different fate. When the flames of the final battle consumed her, she did not burn to ash – she rose from the fire stronger than before, with wings black as obsidian and a crown of living flame. So was born Phoenix Valkyrie, guardian of rebirth and a symbol that even from the darkest night one can always emerge.
Design
On the Valkyrie side a majestic winged goddess stands amid golden flames. One hand reaches toward the sky while the other holds a branch – a sign of victory and new life. Her flowing dress, rippling hair and fiery crown are rendered with remarkable plasticity. Behind her spread dark wings, each feather engraved in fine detail. The contrast of radiant gold and deep black gives the motif a drama that captivates at first glance.
The other side tells the second half of the legend. In the centre stands Valhalla – the hall of fallen heroes with dragon ornaments, columns and banners – surrounded by a ring of runes. Around it, in eight scenes, the whole Norse saga unfolds: at the top a Valkyrie with spear and shield, the wolves Geri and Freki, the ravens Huginn and Muninn, the goat Heiðrún beneath the tree of life, the chained wolf Fenrir, the eight-legged horse Sleipnir, a winged dragon and the world serpent Jörmungandr coiled into an eternal circle. Every figure is modelled in the finest detail – a miniature monument to myth that fits in your palm.
Craftsmanship
The medal is struck from 1 ounce of pure .999 silver and hand-enhanced with 24-karat gold, which lights up the flames, the Valkyrie and the rim. Black platinum creates the deep, velvety dark background and shaded wings. The result is a perfect interplay of light and shadow that changes with every angle of light and makes the medal look almost alive.
Packaging
The medal comes in a luxurious wooden box with a decorative slipcover, together with a certificate of authenticity – ready to give as a gift or to display in a collection.
